Dog-Ear is a magazine. But it's also a bookmark. And it's awesome.
Pete Lewis, an awesome London designer now living in Berlin, comes up with all sorts of lovely ideas, one of which is Dog-Ear. A magazine vaguely about literature (though anything goes), it's submission based and can be found in independent bookshops and libraries. And, best of all, it's free!
Dog-Ear is currently accepting submission for its 5th issue. Submissions are web-based and once about 40 submissions are received the top 9 are published and the mini mag bookmark and distributed to bookstores and libraries around London. "What?!" you cry! "London?!" Yep. London. But fear not. Dog-Ear is going to be launching across the world, including here in SA. An Afrikaans version, Vark Oor, is set to lunch sharpish, so I suggest you poetic/writer/illustrator types get yourselves busy.
